Go Fly a Kite at the Francisco Park
Up to 15 kids of all ages are invited to join Our Communities to celebrate the arrival of Spring with their own handmade kite. This experience is open to all ages (an adult companion is required for all children under 16 years of age). The event will be held rain or shine.
Students will gather in Suite K of the Francisco Alternative to assemble a wooden kite string winder and load it with string. Using templates, kite pilots will cut out a simple sled kite to create a strong and easy-to-fly kite. Once the kites are completed, participants will move to the park to fly their creations.
This event is free and open to the public, but requires registration to ensure sufficient supplies are available. Please reserve your spot today by emailing ocnwspark@gmail.com!
